Just finished installing the TV wall mount
I bought a Philups 50" TV. Two days ago I bought this wall mount and found that it cost me $79 plus tax at Wal-Mart. I feel that was expensive but this product did the trick. It will mount on 16" distanced studs and you have lots of room to slide the TV back and forth. I was very easy to install and it comes out enough to put in your HDMI cables etc. It works exactly as described. You can push it close to the wall. Works for me.

Great Mount
I installed this in 20 minutes, super easy. The extension is really nice for accessing the back of the TV, but still folding flat against the wall. There's no 24" stud pattern on this, but luckily my studs were 16".

Cheap one tilts, this isn't cheap
No holes for 24 on center studs had to drill holes in corners, $20 tilt mount at HF is great value and drilled for 24" studs

Waste of my time
I paid $80 for this mount and was utterly disappointed with mounting bracket. I’ve purchased 3 tv mounts altogether and this particular brand was the one to ruin my successful streak. The bracket is laughable, barely spanning 20 inches so if you have studs in the wall which are separated by more than 18 inches then you will have to abandon the install. My tv fits within the size and weight recommendations. Luckily, I had a bracket from another mounting kit which was constructed by people with the insight that not all studs are placed 16 inches apart. Duh! I will never buy another tv mount from this company again. Also, Sanus, there are people between the age ranges of 25-35. Not surprised you missed it considering the fact that you think a maximum separation of wall studs is 20 inches.
